WP e-commerce and page templates

Installed wp e-commerce and have been trying to wrap my head around it. One thing thing that is frustrating me is how it seems to be completely ignorant to the Page Template I set it to within the Page modification screen using the WP Admin Control Panel. I would like the sidebar to show, so I’m setting the page template to Sidebar Template, but it doesn’t show. I would like the damn sidebar to show as it has the Shopping Cart in it, something that I’d imagine people would like to see while in the store area… Using latest version with TwentyEleven theme. Any help, relief to my misery is appreciated.
