[Resolved] WP doesn’t recognize CSS file

  • Several times (most recently “Connections”) I’ve tried to upload a theme, but it comes up as “broken,” saying that there is no CSS file — but obviously there is. This may be a no-brainer, but I’m new here.

  • Make sure that the theme folder (with the images folder and the theme files) is the top level folder inside the wp-content/themes folder itself. Sometimes themes unzip into other levels of folders…..

also, the main css file must be named style.css

Thank you! It was the top level thing that was the stumbling block.
