    Hi Everyone,

Wondering if someone could maybe help with this. When I insert a gallery using the default WordPress gallery, the page it’s on just goes blank. What’s really weird here is that all plugins are up to date, I have been through the basics of testing by deactivating plugins, changing themes and so on, BUT the problem still occurs. I have even been testing with my host who have give up because they don’t know what’s causing it, they said plugin problem “So I give them a login” so they could test…AND same answer, they don’t know what it is basically.

So it doesn’t seem to be a plugin issue, it doesn’t seem to be a theme compat issue…Which leaves me stumped!

Never seen this issue before, if someone could shed any light on this then that would be great.

That is really odd, normally I’d suspect a plugin or theme conflict too.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thanks James,

I managed to figure it out! I’ve been using WP for years now and this one stumped me big time…. I deactivated all the plugins and got the same issue, tried new and different themes and still didn’t resolve the issue….

It turned out to be some code (incorrect) within my functions.php file which I swore I checked and double checked, what was weird though is that this code had absolutely nothing to do with the default wp gallery, yet all the other pages worked fine!

Still stumped, but managed to resolve the issue…Thanks for jumping in James, much appreciated.
