Support » Plugins » WP-Cycle Image size Bug in Internet explorer 8 (ei8)

  • Hi, I’m now doing a website in wich I add the Plug-in WP-Cycle. Everything is OK and it’s working perfectly except in EI8. I will expain the problem:

1.Image size in the slider was wrong after the first transition.
2.Sometimes, no transition is running ?

Any idea … because if it’s run the first image good .. it’s must be able to do the same for other image. Work perfectly in Firefox and IE6

    Based on the Theme wp-framework

  • Did you find a resolution for this? I’m having the same trouble.

My images are set for 500×180. The first one appears as 500×180 but then all succeeding images (including the first when cycled back through) appear to be stretched. I can only see 500×180 of the stretched image but when I check the properties, it says that the image is 1247×180.

I’ve determined that the 1247 is the size of my IE window. When I look at the source code, only 500 is specified. Anyone have any ideas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Found an answer to your problem, I think. It seems you need to have a link set for each photo. If you don’t have one just use #.

Found the answer over on down in the comments section.

    Hope this helps

Wow, that seemed to do the trick! However, it seems that the latest version (1.10) may have created an issue in the logic so that the rotation is not turned on. It appears that the jquery.js file script code is not being written into the head and the javascript code is not being written in php. I tracked this down and manually added those things and it worked. I’d like to figure out why it’s not obeying the check box in the settings. If anyone figures it out, please let me know. Thanks!

also make sure you are not using lightbox2…. it screws it up royally!

The tip about setting a link for each image is priceless. Thank you.

I still wonder about the slideshow not always rotating.

@coupland, could you tell us specifically what you did to remedy that situation?

Would you be so kind as to elaborate re: the header code? Do I just need to call the scripts? Or is there more?

    Thanks, soj
