# wp-cron.php Peer certificate cannot be authenticated

 * List,
 * I am a new user of WP, having just built our new office Internet with a local
   install of v.3.6.1. Everything seems to be working great.
 * I am now finishing up the build by setting up a site backup plan. I installed
   the BackUpWordPress plugin as my first shot at this. Everything installed correctly
   but I received an error. I then installed the WP Crontrol plugin to better manage
   the WP cron – but am receiving the same error.
 * “There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system (wp-cron.php) on your
   site. This means WP-Cron jobs on your site may not work. The problem was:
    Peer
   certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates”
 * Question: How do I fix this certificates problem?
 * I have searched all over the Codex (and googled too), but have not found any 
   help. Ideas are most appreciated!
