• Hi,

I recently upgraded from WP 2.6.1 to WP 2.8.6 (clean install — just kept the wp-content directory and wp-config.php file).

I’ve noticed the site slowing down during peak traffic. Looking at the access_log (Ubuntu/Apache2), I ran a tail command and from the last 50,000 log lines, /wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron has run 4,443 times. Seems a bit excessive.

Anyone know of a way to calm it down or clean out its schedule as perhaps there might be something going on with its schedule?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best,
    Cent
