 * Hello,
 * I see you have the plugin disable the php checker if wp-cron is disabled. I’m
   curious why you didn’t take into account the fact that SiteGround often points
   to wp-cron as a problem when speed and/or resource usage is an issue. Due to
   this, almost every SiteGround site i run has wp-cron disabled and a real cronjob
   setup in cpanel.
 * Perhaps you can add a check box acknowledging that you have setup your own cronjob
   and to run the php checker anyways?
 * Thanks for your time,
    Derek

 * Usually, it is recommended to disable the WordPress cron and schedule a real
   Cron Job manually. This allows you much more control over the website. Like you
   said – it also helps with resource usage issues if they are actually caused by
   the wp-cron.
 * Indeed, the PHP compatibility checker is relying on the wp-cron, this is correct.
   If you disabled wp-cron, you can easily enable it if you are interested in using
   the PHP checker. It takes a moment and you have the control to disable wp-cron
   after the check is completed.
 * Of course, reviewing the website manually and deciding if it is suitable for
   PHP 7+ yourself is also an option.

 * Thanks for that idea, will add it for discussion for future udpates!
