  • wp-content, wp-images, wp-includes, etc. All these folders are visible to anyone typing the URL. How can I restrict availability of those directories to links on my blog?

    TIA

  • you can make an empty index.htm and place it in the folders. Then people will get that instead of directory listing. Someone fluent in .htaccess can tell of a more sophisticated method 🙂

What I have done is to password protect the wp-admin folder as I don’t want people accessing that to try and logon to my site. (Did that through my cpanel)

You could change your .htaccess and add

    Options All -Indexes

Which means that people won’t be able to browse folders on your website as they can now.
