wp-config thing

  • hello, I tried uploading the whole thing but admin says it can’t find wp-config-sample.php so I’m doing it manually. question, what do you change? the one with the db_ prefix or the one next to it?
    and do you still have to change the db_host if your sql is hosted somewhere else? thank you lots. =)

  • // ** MySQL settings ** //
    define('DB_NAME', 'your db name here'); // The name of the database
    define('DB_USER', 'your mysql username here'); // Your MySQL username
    define('DB_PASSWORD', 'db password here'); // ...and password
    define('DB_HOST', 'localhost or db host name here'); // 99% chance you won't need to change this value
    // Change the prefix if you want to have multiple blogs in a single database.
    $table_prefix = 'wp_'; // example: 'wp_' or 'b2' or 'mylogin_'
    /* Stop editing */

    That’s a sample of where exactly the values you have to type in go.
    Hope that helps.
