wp commerce shipping issue

I am having real issues with the shipping and checkout of wp commerce.

Customers are adding products to the cart and then each product they purchase it is adding an extra £1 shipping to the total cost, very confusing. And also customers are having troublr completing their purchase even if they get through that stage. Please help I am very new to all this.
