I released my website yesterday, moving WordPress up one folder from a dev directory.
(e.g from: /www/sitedir/devdir/ to: /www/sitedir/)
Everything is working great except comments. I get a 404 when submitting a comment.
I looked at the network traffic and discovered the 404 error: www.u2act.com/devdir/funny-wpdir-name/wp-comments-post.php?for=jetpack 404 (Not Found).
www.u2act.com/devdir/funny-wpdir-name/wp-comments-post.php?for=jetpack 404 (Not Found).
The path should be: www.u2act.com/funny-wpdir-name/wp-comments-post.php?for=jetpack
www.u2act.com/funny-wpdir-name/wp-comments-post.php?for=jetpack
How can if fix the Jetpack comments config to use the correct path?
Thanks, Chris
I resolved the problem by simply disconnecting Jetpack from wordpress.com, then reconnecting. Apparently the path info is stored on wordpress.com.
