# WP-CLI plugin doesn’t update with –minor option

 * We have multiple website’s with wordpress and we are updating them with WP-CLI.
   
   Most plugin’s are updated fine to the latest minor version. But some plugin’s
   are not recognized as minor updates.
 * When we call **/usr/local/bin/wp plugin update –minor –all –dry-run** on 1 of
   the sites the result is:
    **No plugin updates available.**
 * But when i remove the –minor option we are calling it without the –minor option
   we get the following result

 * Both plugin’s have patch version updates so they should also have been in the
   results with the –minor option
 * how does WP-CLI check if a plugin has a major, minor, patch update?
    I like to
   contact the plugin makers and tell them what to do to fix this bug

 * `$ wp plugin update --all --minor`

   I think that –all must be the first argument

 * Most plugins are updated correctly but to be sure i tested it with –all in front
   of –minor.
    It doesn’t mather if –all is in front or behind –minor, both ways
   these 2 plugin’s are not updated.
