WP changes HTML code?

    I am adding Paypal button code blocks to a page. I want 2 buttons at the same vertical level but side by side.
    I am a complete novice at HTML, but all I did was add the Paypal code to the page, with additional code [given to me] to control position; “position: absolute;
    top: 425px;
    left: 300px;”

    My problem is that in switching back and forth between visual and text modes, WP keeps changing the code. The 2 buttons end up one above the other, instead of following the absolute position I am setting for each.

    Can someone tell me how to prevent WP from changing at least the part of the code pertaining to the buttons?
