    Hello,
I have installed your plugin but I have issue which is every time I open WP admin default page: domain.com/wp-admin/ to login normally , I get the following message:

“you have 4 login attempts remaining”

also when I normally logout from my admin backend, I get this message after logging out:

“you have 3 login attempts remaining”

and after I login I find that there is a marked block in attempt in the traffic log that somebody tried to login with none existing username and the info. shows my IP address which means this is about my own attempt to login ?!

what’s wrong here and why I get this message from WP Cerber?!

    Please advise

    Thank you

    Hello,

I just want to update this thread with my new discovery about the topic

in fact after long investigation, I found out that there is no problem with WP Cerber

In fact, I found that the problem is I’m using Cloud Flare connection and I had made a page rules to exclude some pages from the traffic and some of the URL links I provided I wrote http:// instead of using https:// and that is why I was getting this problem.

After I corrected my entries from http:// to https:// in Cloud Flare the issue is resolved and now I’m not getting any more the messages stated above

I hope this thread will help

    All the best.

Thanks for the info! I think it will be helpful for anyone having similar issues with Cloudflare and WP Cerber.

I have the same problem, although not having any rules on Cloudflare. Every time I try to access the custom login URL, I’m locked out with the same explanation: none existing username.

@dragongate can you explain what you changed in CloudFlare? I have multiple sites using CF and I have this exact issue, I don’t have any page rules for the login page

@neverminder did you ever figure it out?

@gioni I followed this link and still have the issue https://wpcerber.com/cloudflare-and-wordpress-cerber/

@rawslugs, I had an older 2FA plugin installed (https://wordpress.org/plugins/two-factor-authentication/) that generated a conflict of some sorts. I just removed it, and now I rely only on the 2FA of wp-cerber.
