[WP BUG] $file variable hits theme_editor namespace

  • Hi WP team.
    I’ve just uncovered one thing:

Whenever your plugin declares a variable $file anytime time you try opening your theme-editor (Appearance->Editor) it will break with one of the errors of validate_file_to_edit function located at /wp-amdin/inludes/file.php (line 187)

I find this bit wierd that at theme-editor.php you expect $file variable to come from parent include files, yep, that’s the cause of the error in validate_file_to_edit – the wrong file is getting checked.
Maybe you could patch this namespace problem up?

Thanks for the great platform anyway 😉
