• For awhile now, I can’t really write or edit my blog postings when I’m using Firefox or Chrome. Sometimes using “visual” mode [rather than in the HTML tab,] work, and sometimes it only shows the post’s content in HTML. In fact, there are times when I am able to edit in visual mode, save a draft [without navigating away from the page at all] and visual mode goes away and only HTML shows up. In IE, I can isually create posts normally. But no matter which browser I use for creating blogs, weird things are going on, such as having to use extra spaces between paragraphs to keep the paragraphs from butting up against one another on the page. For instance, when I’m editing the posting, it looks as if there is ample space between paragraphs, but when I “preview” the post, the paragraphs have no space between them.

I upgraded to the latest version of WP last night, but all the issues I mentioned were happening prior to the update and have not ceased with the update.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
