i was asked the ftp access by my wp installation when i’m going to delete Dolly Plugin and want to install more plugin. 2 years i’m with wordpress, never experience like this before.

i think it security issues. how to fix it ? please advice.

done that. but still not fixed when i need to add new plugin.

When I used ‘localhost’ for the host name, it failed. I used ‘127.0.0.1’ instead, and it worked. Go figure. My only guess is that php doesn’t use /etc/hosts for name resolution, so the name you use must be externally resolvable. That’s just a guess.
