WP & SMF Bridge Config error…

  • I have SMF installed and running in a sub directory of the root, /forum.

I installed WP&SMF, and activated the plugin. The next step was to tell WP where to find SMF. I clicked on the ReadMe button on the config page, and now all I get is this error:

Warning: unbridged_user_wp(/home/content/r/g/o/rgoodell/html/wp-content/plugins/WP_SMF/smf_api_1.1.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/r/g/o/rgoodell/html/wp-content/plugins/wp_smf/wp_smf.php on line 956

Fatal error: unbridged_user_wp(): Failed opening required ‘/home/content/r/g/o/rgoodell/html/wp-content/plugins/WP_SMF/smf_api_1.1.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/content/r/g/o/rgoodell/html/wp-content/plugins/wp_smf/wp_smf.php on line 956

How can I get the screen back to tell WP where to find SMF? I never got to enter the data.

  • OK, got one problem solved… the folder that installs into the /plugins directory is wp_smf by default, not WP_SMF as it needs to be. Case makes the difference.

    Next issue:

“…the SMF_Wordpress zip file must be installed into SMF…”

    What SMF_Wordpress.zip file?

    Mine is called wp-smf-a-simplemachines-bridge.zip

SMF does not recognize wp-smf-a-simplemachines-bridge.zip as a valid package.
