    Hi everyone,

I’d be grateful for your help on this.

I setup a mySQL database on my server and followed the 5-minute install precisely. The 5-minute install guide said that I should copy the files to the root directory which I am unable to do – but I figured that putting them in httpdocs would be fine so I did that instead (please correct me if I’m wrong).

The next problem is that entering /wp-admin/install.php does not run the php – it just downloads the install.php file to my computer. Equally – if I visit the root URL domesticchef.co.uk, my browser downloads a file called ‘download’.

Can anybody think of a reason that this would be happening? I need some help on this.

  • I fixed it. I had to login to Plesk > Select the domain > Web Hosting Settings > Enable PHP Support > Disable Safe Mode.
