Support » Fixing WordPress » wp-admin/admin.php page blank

  • Hi,

I’m not sure whether I should post this question here or under the plugins section.

I am using a couple of plugins. I have noticed now that I am having problems with 3 plugins from

When changing settings for the following 2 plugins :
after pressing the “Save Changes” plugin, I’m redirected to the admin panel and no changes were made in the database.

With regards to the third plugin : WP-Polls, I cannot add/change/manage the polls. When I try to save changes, I’m being redirected to /wp-admin/admin.php, which just goes blank and stays blank.

I am running wordpress on windows server 2008. Everything else runs fine.

I have posted this issue on the forum, but they basically said : it’s a problem with WP or another plugin

I’m a novice when it comes down to WP, but I can read code (and I should be able to understand php).
Can anyone explain me (high-level) on where and how to start with troubleshooting and fixing this ?

  • had the same problem a few minutes ago.
go to the plugins folder (wp-content/plugins/)and delete the folder for the messed up plugin.

quicker than trying to debug it…
if you really want it, upload it again..

problem is fixed, I think a permanent fix will be made available in the next update of those plugins
