• Hi,

I’m using WP-Admin v3.8.1 with W3 Total Cache v.0.9.3 configured to use a MaxCDN account.

My public facing web-site is flying – load times of around 1.5 seconds – but using WP-Admin is painfully slow. At best, the pages load in around 3-5 seconds, and at worse at lot longer.

If I disable the W3 Total Cache plug-in then WP-Admin speeds up considerably.

I’d appreciate any advice on how I can use W3 Total Cache without it impacting my WP-Admin.

    Regards,

    Richard Tubb.

  • I am having the same problem. It began either today or yesterday.

Hello, have you tried specifying the WP-admin folder in the REJECT FILE list in the W3TC CDN tab? Also, you may want to email us at [Email redacted] so that we can assist you personally and faster; and so we can check your settings as well.

@howie – Thanks for the advice.

I hadn’t added the WP-admin folder to the Rejected Files: list but I’ve now added

    /wp-admin/*

I’ll also drop you an email directly at [Email redacted] so we can continue troubleshooting this. Thanks!

@andrew – apologies, I wasn’t sure if the issue was related to WordPress, the W3TC plug-in or the MaxCDN service I subscribe to.

I appreciate Howie stepping in to offer his support, but I can see it was against the rules of these forums.

When I have them, may I post the findings of my troubleshooting with Howie here to help anyone else who is experiencing the same issue as me?

Absolutely you can post your solution here when you find it, but others won’t be able to benefit from the troubleshooting steps in-between that you took, because it would have been discussed privately.

@andrew – Thank-you. I’ll be sure to post the troubleshooting steps that MaxCDN and I took in between as part of my solution post, so everyone can benefit from the findings.

I appreciate your help pointing us in the right direction.
