• I have a multisite I never had problems with before and I’m not certain it is because it is a multisite. I can’t suddenly reach the wp-admin anymore. I get a “404 not found” error in both IE and firefox.
This is what I get in the address bar of firefox:

    http://brusselieren.be/__customer_validation/index.php?ref=brusselieren.be&uri=/wp-login.php

and then I arrive on the 404 error page of my old site that is still in the account.

Now I omitted the meta widget to prevent that visitors would click on it and arrive at the login form while they don’t need to. Thus I have to type it in the address bar.

I reupdated to the last version (3.7.1) but nothing changed, thus it is not a script in the installation. Probably it is in the db but I don’t know what to look for.

    What was this all about?

I did a search and found several people that had the same problem. They were advised a.o. to use wp-login instead. I could get that page, but when I submitted my log in data it was the same again. Then I also changed the name of the plugin directory. This gave next screen (screenshot):

After filling in the captcha I could log in. So there was nothing wrong with my installation.

That would be your webhost OR a CDN (CloudFlare perhaps) doing that. It’s not a part of WP core though.

This morning I had that captcha form again. I suppose I get it every day now and wonder for how long. I’ll ask my host.

But I wonder if it IS my host. CloudFlare I don’t use for this blog, that wouldn’t go I suppose because I can very little with my .htaccess. I wonder if it doesn’t come from google.

OK, it IS my host indeed. Thanks for the tip.
