# WP-ADMIN not available

 * Hi guys.
 * since the latest update to 4.3.1 i get only this error, when i try to go to /
   wp-admin:
    Notice: The called constructor method for WP_Widget is deprecated 
   since version 4.3.0! Use
 * __construct()
 * instead. in /mnt/web9/e3/24/53702424/htdocs/WordPress_04/wp-includes/functions.
   php on line 3457 Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already

   and if i go to the frontend of the page i have this error on top of everything:

 * This most likely indicates that a plugin or theme needs updating by the developers(
   or maybe you haven’t updated lately). Go to [this page](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-%E2%80%93-wordpress-43-master-list?replies=4)
   and scroll to the ‘Known Issues’ section, and there you’ll see ‘WP_Widget Error’.

 * Hi Bill. thanks for your fast reply.
    i already tried the thing with renaming
   the plugins-folder … no difference now i tried that with the debug mode setting
   to false, that didnt work either. If it would have worked, i think it just wouldn’t
   give me the error-message but the admin-panel still wouldn’t be accessable.
 * maybe something else i can try?

 * Did you try renaming the folder of your current theme as well? Because that may
   be the issue and not a plugin. Renaming it will disable the theme, and WP will
   use the default theme found in `wp-contents/themes/` (probably Twenty Fifteen).

 * ouh yeah. That works! now i can access the admin panel again.
    if i go to “Themes”
   it shows the theme … just blank.
 * so now i update or reinstall the theme or how i get it to normal again?

 * Yes, if the theme has an update, do it. If not, contact the theme developer through
   whatever support channel is available for it.
