• Please forgive me if this question is due to my deficient search skills, but I recently install Alex’s style-switcher with no problem and am trying to figure out a way to access it through WP-Admin (rather than having the user select the themes, I want to do it quickly and easily through WP-Admin).
In a previous implementation I was able to change menu.php in wp-admin to do this, but for the life of me I can’t find the documentation that I followed here or on the Internet as a whole.
    Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

  • As I understand it AKs excellent style switcher works in a way which is not going to be in any sense compatible with the new 1.3 theme switcher if that is what you are referring to. It is a completely different tool and buld for a different purpose ie to let the reader switch his CSS styles. The theme switcher operates completely differently although it must be said that switching styles is simple it does not need the style switcher to do it. They are different animals.

    Thanks for your response.
What I am trying to do is to add a space in wp-admin to change the style as I see fit.
For instance, it would look something like this:
    Write – Edit – Categories – Style/Theme – Links – Users – etc. etc.
I found a way to do this early this year but have forgotten and can’t find the documentation. Perhaps it’s a plugin that I’m not seeing or perhaps it’s just something I need to add to the menu.php file.
    Not sure.

there should be a menu.txt or something similar to it…. just pop that open and add to it using the other entries as a guide.
