Thank you for this plugin that I’ve used for years without a glitch.

However, the latest WP update stops this plugin from offering to change the font colour.

No colour palatte appears in Visual view, so you have to laboriously type in the css tags in code view.

Any chance you can get it back for us Pieter?

    Thanks for your comment.

However, the latest WP update stops this plugin from offering to change the font colour.

To be clear, the Classic Editor + plugin never offered the chance to change the font colour. The plugin’s single purpose is to bring the Classic Editor back.

Do you have a before/after screenshot or screencast that shows what you perceive is the plugin conflict?

    Thank you for responding Pieter.

Sorry I don’t have a “before” screenshot, though I’ve been building webpages using Classic ditor for years and simply selecting font colour from the Visual top bar next to the Header font size. But since last week, when I updated WP, I’ve not seen the option where it used to be. So I have to hand code the css font colour.

I can continue doing so, if it’s too much trouble, to locate and fix, no sweat.

My guess is the WP version has broken the access to Classic Editor.

I confirm, I ALWAYS had the font colour option in my Classic Editor platform.

The thing is, The Classic Editor + plugin does not do anything related to fonts (or anything else for that matter).

If you have a look at the plugin file, then you will see that all it does, is adding some functions that disable/remove the stuff that comes with the WP Block Editor.

I had a look at my own sandbox and there I actually could see and select the text colours: screenshot.
So perhaps on your site, there is another conflict going on?

    Thank you Pieter.

I’ll stay hand coding css, it will help keep my neurones busy 🙂
