What version of php are you on? That’s controlled by PHP, not WordPress
I have the same problem.
Actually, it should depend on WordPress, see this topic (apparently it was solved for UK English with a new translation by the WordPress team):

Better wait for @ipstenu to reply here, since he’s a moderator, while that thread was marked as solved by the author 🙂
This seems like it might be an issue with the italian translation. Same issue reported here:

“She” is a moderator, but that doesn’t mean I know any better than anyone else about all bugs!
However, this appears that it was translation issue in the UK language pack, so it stands to reasons there’s a problem in them all, which is not fun at all 🙁
Thank you for the connection to that existing bug @nicola7!
Found it. The problem is an incorrect translation of the months in the latest version, because of a weirdly place set of translator notes. The translation will need to be fixed. Working on that now.
Sorry @ipstenu!!
And thanks for listening, hopefully someone will fix the language pack asap.
The fixed translations have been submitted and are awaiting approval. When they are approved, you should just be able to update the language pack and it will be fixed.
I also submitted a ticket about the underlying problem to hopefully avoid this issue in the future.
