WordPress 5.2 gives me this page on admin login due to this plugin – “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

I received the following email regarding this plugin which is creating the error.

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway.

First, visit your website ( and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught ( and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

    Error Details

I had to disable it and was able to login, but as soon as I activate the plugin, I am restricted and so all of my clients. They cannot login due to this pluglin error at line 126 described above

    Hi there!

Which version of the plugin are you using? Please keep the plugin not activated, but installed, and send us a copy of your system status report.

Thanks for your reply. I couldn’t wait for 5 days for the solution because its a live site and my clients were also unable to login due to this plugin, so i had to delete the plugin via ftp because it just wouldn’t let me login. I guess I won’t risk my site’s uptime/revenue to test it. I will now test it only when there is another version or update of your plugin. Till then I guess I will have to use an alternative, which I am already doing.

Oh I was using your latest version 1.6.16
