WP 4.6 Issues

Uploaded Images are being renamed and added to the content differently since 4.6.
I have uploaded an image e.g. picture.jpg
And the source in the editor looks like this:

Where it would have previously looked like this:
<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-252″ src=”http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/picture.jpg” alt=”picture” width=”686″ height=”686″ />
The main problem is that I am unable to get attached media via WP REST API since this issue arrose.
