WP 4.2.2 Media Uploads: Images not showing, broken image icon instead

    I’ve just completed a fresh install of WP 4.2.2 and uploaded a couple of images. All I got on the media upload and library pages was the “broken image” icon. I inserted the images into a couple of pages and still could not see the images, just the “broken image” icon. I have deactivated the three plugins I have (Fast Secure Contact Form, Akismet, Page Builder) without any effect.

    Any help to resolve this would be appreciated.
