WP 3.8 Multisite upgrade dashboard side nav disappeared | WordPress.org

Upgraded to 3.8 on a multisite install. Side navigation was in dashboard until took the step of updating the database. Then Dashboard side navigation disappeared on all sites.

Did the DB update run successful or did it stall partway through?

The update ran successfully. We also rolled the database back to the point where we updated to 3.8 and before we updated the database and the navigation is missing there.

In the process of removing plugins.

Just redid the database update and it appears to have finished successfully.

OK we reinstalled 3.8 after the database upgrade and everything is working again.
