  • When i edit my config.php file to enable the multisite function my admin page just turns into “fatal error: call to undefined function get_option() in /****/****/public_html/*****/******/wp-admin/admin.php on line 22“. My site also goes down.

I have ties it MANY times, always the same result. Even tried it without my plugins or any themes. Really stuck here and would really appreciate some help.

All I have been doing is adding “define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);” just b4 the line, /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    Any ideas?

    p.s. I upgraded to 3.0 from 2.9

  • It seems like the upgrade wasn’t completed and there are some files missing. You may need to try redoing the upgrade manually. Here’s how you can go about that.

I tried upgrading manually a few times now. Also tried removing all plugins and still have an error message whenever I change my config.php to allow the multisite. I am STUMPED!

Even stranger, I started a completely new wordpress installation on a new database and SAME PROBLEM!

It could quite possibly be your host. Maybe they;re using an old php version, maybe they do a check for multisite code and cripple your install.
