I have two blogs. One is pretty standard and the other has a lot of custom work. The custom one was just upgraded to 2.7.1.

However, the Admin appearance does not seem to have changed. In thye standard blog, I have a clean (to me) screen with a column of buttons on the left side Dashboard, Posts, Media, Links, Comments, Appearance, etc. I like that. How can I get that on my customized one?

It seems the customized has retained the same look as the older versions vet it does say that it is 2.71

  • From what version did you upgrade? You didn’t customise ‘core files’, did you? When you’re on 2.7 or 2.7.1 you should have a significantly different dashboard than before, the one that you describe on the standard blog sounds a lot like it.

The guy who did the custom work came back to me and updated it for me. Thanks
