WP 2.5 : Issues with Sidebar & Dashboard

I just upgraded to WP2.5 using Fantastico and am facing two issues:

1. On the Widgets page, on the “Current Widgets” drop-down list I am seeing multiple occurrence of the same sidebars. My theme uses three widgetised sidebars, placed on the right, left and middle columns respectively (and registered on functions page in that very order) but the list shows sidebars as “Right”, “Left”,”Left”, “Middle”,”Middle”,”Middle”. What could be wrong in my theme?
2. I have 3 WP installs on my server and funnily on one of the installs the Dashboard never showed up (only the header band and nothing in content pane), this happened probably when I had upgraded to 2.3 WP. Scarier part is that even after the 2.5 upgrade the Dashboard still doesn’t show up for this particular install. Can somebody help?
