WP 2.3, PHP5 – saving pages -> blank page in admin, 404 on site

I’m using WP 2.3 on a server with PHP5 enabled.

When I create a new page and click “SAVE” or “PUBLISH” I get a blank page. When I then go back to the admin area and check under Manage -> Pages, the page is there, and when I go to edit it, it appears the changes have been made. However, on the front of the site, the link to the page returns a 404 not found error.

If I edit the page, and click “SAVE” I get the blank page also, and still the link on the front of the site doesn’t work.

I think it has to do with using PHP5 – when I commented out the “AddHandler” line in my .htaccess, I got other errors popping up, but the SAVE worked and then the link on the front of the site worked.

Any suggestions how I can fix this to get it working properly with PHP5 enabled?
