Support » Fixing WordPress » WP 2.2 Sidebar widgets problem, XML-RPC issue

  • Greetings all,

I am making a go at running WordPress on my home server (HERE), and have run into a couple of issues.

First of all, whenever I try to customize the layout of my sidebar using the built-in widgets, it doesn’t seem to want to ‘take’ anymore. It worked when I first installed it, but reverted back to the default when I tried adding a link to the user registration page.

The other problem I have been having has been with XML-RPC updates. I am trying to use ecto, but have been unable to get connected to my WP install. All I get is a ‘406 Not Acceptable’ error. I did try searching for this issue in the support forums, but I haven’t seen anything that matches up with my particular issue.

I am running Fedora Core 6, PHP 5.1.6, MySQL 5.0.27, WordPress 2.2. Sorry I don’t know which version of Apache I am running, other than it is Apache 2.

I would certainly appreciate any help that anyone can offer!
