• I upgraded to 2.0 at the weekend and most of the site is fine. Two areas are getting errors:-

    Dashboard

Under WordPress Development Blog I am getting the error “Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_filter_kses() in /homepages/xxxxx/wp-admin/index.php on line 137”

    Plugins

Under Plugin Management I am getting the error “Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_kses() in /homepages/xxxxx/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 99”

I’ve searched on here but can’t find anything.

  • I’d suggest re-uploading kses.php (in the wp-includes\ directory), where these functions are found. It may be corrupted, zero-bytes, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion – tried that and it didn’t work. Is there any way to do a totally clean installation but have it pick up the existing database. I don’t mind losing the few customisations I have made as long as I can retain my articles etc.
