WP 2 Role problem – users need to edit pages written only by them

    I have recently installed WP 2.0 having moved from 1.5 and have found a problem with the roles for my users.

    I am after the ability to manage / edit PAGES only written by the user this was available if a user was set to Level 5 in WP 1.5 User levels.

    I have installed the Role Manager plugin but despite it been a brilliant plugin it also does not have the option that I need. Setting the level for a user to 5 does nothing.

    I don’t want to set users with the role of editor giving them all the ability to edit all the pages.

    Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

    Well I have managed to resolve my own problem using the following plugin: – Restrict Page Editing 1.0 Restricts users from editing Pages unless they have edit_others_pages capability By Owen Winkler.

    This seems to be working fine in combination with the Role Manager plugin also by Owen Winkler
