  • I LOVE this theme/starter theme. How many themes out there have every support question answered?
Better yet, I asked the dev some questions and received a response within 20 minutes!

Here’s what makes this theme so great:
    1.) top notch support
    2.) NO BLOAT! ๐Ÿ™‚
3.) Nicely packaged, + ready-made child theme available on dev’s website.
    4.) Flexibility!
5.) Well documented – we even get a list of all the containers on a blank stylesheet (when using child theme) and a screenshot of where they are placed.
    6.) Bootstrap ๐Ÿ™‚

More, more, more… I have tried a TON of different themes. This is the one for me. Quite honestly I am surprised there are not more rave reviews (surely they’d be 5 stars, too). It’s just exactly what I was looking for.

However, here’s my caution to you, the potential downloader:
This was designed to be super lean. If you’re looking for plug & play without doing any coding, this might not be a great choice for you. I wouldn’t mind plugging and playing it (does look nice out of the box!), but if you want to customize it without doing any coding you’re SOL. You could probably work it with a bootstrap plugin, but I have no experience doing that so don’t take my word for it.

What I’d like to see added:
Page templates! Nothing fancy, just 1.) a no sidebar template and a 2.) a 1 sidebar template would do it for me. It’s currently set up so that you choose to have no sidebars, one sidebar, or two sidebars (left and right of content). This is a bummer, because I don’t want a sidebar on my homepage, but I do want one on my blog page. This ‘problem’ has been brought forth to the dev, but I don’t believe we will see page templates implemented due to the ‘lean as can be’ nature of the theme.

The good news is that you can manually create a page template, so overall my one negative is essentially a moot point to most.
