The roles defined in CSV is a near new feature, we work hard in this plugin for free and we are waiting that someone want to support this new functionality.
And yes, the stopping is not a problem of the plugin, this is a problem of your hosting, tell them to set to unlimited execution time in PHP for the import.
Please before rating without 5 stars write first in support forum, as you can see, I answer in hours (sometimes in minutes) and I could have answered you before it.
4 stars is not a bad rating, but yes, we use many hours in this for free for everyone and it is a pity for us having non 5 stars rating.

Like I said, if I could’ve given 4.5, I would have. I’m glad that you’re considering implementing the roles being defined. I’m hoping you will also factor in possible WordPress MultiSite scenarios, as well.
As far as the execution time for any script, setting that to unlimited is a very bad idea. For people with their own dedicated servers (or clusters, in this particular situation), it’s not as “dangerous”, however, for a shared environment, customers can (and will) take advantage of that.
I’ve been in the web hosting/design sector for 16+ years, both as an owner, and as an employee. For the last 3 years, I’ve worked for a company specifically build/optimized towards WordPress hosting and development. I’ve personally seen what can happen when no time limits are set.
If I can make a suggestion for that issue, have a look at Big Dump (http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump/). I’ve used that to import a 4 gig MySQL DB, without any issues. A staggered import might actually be the answer to larger CSV imports. Maybe cap the imports to 100, per cycle.
You’ve got a great script, Javier. The work definitely shows. This may be my first comment/rating of your script, but it’s not the first (or second) time I’ve used it. Please don’t read my comment and initial rating as negative. It’s definitely not intended as such. 🙂

I have just read your comment and you are right. You know what you are talking about and you know how all it works.
This is a plugin which I needed sometime and I have no needed more. I make it free software and now much people want new features and me and my bussiness have no time to be able to do it.
