Would you deploy an agent for uptime monitoring?

    We’re working on an open source project [ link removed ] which uses an agent to monitor WordPress websites and can automatically fix common problems. We were wondering how people feel about installing an agent. Does that spark security concerns or feel like too much effort to install for a monitoring solution?

    There are several larger companies like New Relic, who use an agent for similar reasons. Would you be more willing to install that kind of agent?
