  • Maybe it’s just me but what do you mean by “poppy”? You mean a pop-up or pop-under window?

Are you using a static home page or are you displaying your recent posts?

    HI Gabe,

Sorry a Poppy is a flower the symbol of Armistice Day in the U.K

@gabe Young: In Europe, a red poppy is used during November to symbolise & remember the fallen during both World Wars.

@ian.mackness: One solution would be to create a custom page template – possibly with a widget-ready area – and apply this custom template to your static home page. If the template was widget-capable, you could then add your poppy and any accompanying text via a Text widget and replace the contents (opr remove the widget completely) later on.
