• After using EDD for nearly a decade, I now have to downgrade my review. Chronic issues reported by my customers about being unable to download due to “exceeding the limit” after 1 or 2 attempts. Resetting access and upping the number of downloads has not corrected the problem and I have had to provide direct links myself to fulfill purchases, wasting everyone’s time and creating privacy concerns that have to be addressed. Extremely slow response (read – none after 3 days) from support after spending over $200 in the past month on extensions that have produced shortcode errors and double pricing on my site in mobile and desktop modes. Visitors are not going to trust my products when my store behaves like it was coded by a third grader. Unacceptable.

    Amended Review:

    Pippin addressed all of the issues and Easy Digital Downloads now works perfectly. Highly recommend!

    Simple, well-conceived and easy to use, BUT EDD permission and communication problems with payment processors render it useless.

    The plugin is free, but priority support is paid for. However, even after purchasing support I have had no resolution – in fact, no response to my support query in 48 hours – and it appears I am not the only one.

    To be fair, it looks like Pippin may be in the midst of dealing with rapid growth that is hard to handle. Regardless, it remains that EDD does not perform as advertised at this time. I hope to see this corrected in the near future.

    Which payment gateway are you having trouble with? Believe me, I’m here to help you and have never intentionally ignored you 🙂

    I’ve found your unanswered support question and am so sorry it went unanswered (answering now in case you want to give it another go).

    One thing to please note: payment gateways are built by a large number of different developers, so issues with a payment gateway (in your case Google Wallet) are often completely unrelated to the core plugin.
