if this is a service, it shouldn’t even be a plugin, just a snippet to paste in my theme.
because it is a service, cannot personalize the logic, the way it stores user ratings, and the most important:
the creators are making you pay (ridiculous amount) on top of forcing you giving up a lot of usage data of your website.
    NOT RECOMMENDED.

i downloaded the plugin, started to modify it to store things in the wordpress database and will release it for free.

Hi @eolet, upon the activation of our plugin, the first screen that we show to every user is a disclaimer that explains that RatingWidget is a service. The reason we wrapped the service into a plugin is to make it easy for non-tech-savvy users to customize the ratings and automatically include them in the right places at the site.

The vast majority of our users are free, we don’t “make you pay”, it’s up to you if you want to get the extra paid features.

You are more than welcome to create another ratings plugin, though I wouldn’t recommend that. You should check out YASR.

I realize that you don’t like services and that’s fine, but your review has nothing to do with the quality of our plugin and its functionality. There’s a reason our average rating is 4.6 out of 5, we work very hard to provide a user-friendly product and outstanding support to all our users.
