After I activate it takes over my screen to sell me an overpriced “premium” app I don;t want. Then it asks me to login to my google account….uh no you don;t need my google account credentials, Just let me provide my tracking code an move on without all the harassment. Basically appear the free plugin is an advertisement for an overprices premium plugin. Uninstalled!

When activated we take users to the authentication wizard to connect to Google, not an upsell.

    > uh no you don;t need my google account credentials

We don’t ask for them. On authentication, you are sent through Google’s oAuth flow which sends back the oAuth keys to use to retrieve the Google UA code for tracking and for the reports area. If you were asked to login, that’s Google asking you to login on their site, because they determined either you were not logged in or have been inactive on your Google account long enough that they’d like you to re-login as a security measure. This is how Google makes all applications that integrate with their APIs work.
