Listen I am going to make this short and simple. If you are like me you are probably curious about this plugin and if its better than the others. This way any confusion about this plugin can be put to rest.

I have been running many websites for around 8 years now all performing my own SEO. It’s taken an incredible amount of time to build the audience and rankings for my websites. Around April 25th of this year I was curious to see just what Rank Math truly was all about.

Keep in mind I have been using Yoast pretty much my entire web development life. And I have front page #1 rankings on many highly competitive keywords that garner tens of thousands of views per day. So I think its fair to say I have a decent amount of skillset in the SEO field.

The promises Rank Math made and UI they presented make it look to good to be true. I took the time to read the articles posted by the Rank Math support team on their website to truly understand and grasp just exactly how this plugin works. Upon installation and configuration I queried Google to recrawl my website.

Much to my disappointment and horror, Not only did I fall out of #1 and front page spot for a few keywords but traffic for my website has been reduced by about 52% since the activation of this plugin.

In addition if you do some digging around the web you will come to find out alot of these reviews aren’t all that honest, and the company that runs Rank Math has a shady history.

    FINAL VERDICT
If your Current SEO plugin is working, keep it and don’t ever change it to this. And for anyone doubting my claims go ahead do your research. You should ask yourself why Rank Math only ranks for terms such as “Best SEO PLugin” on google and nothing else really.

    Hello @lupohq

Sorry for the experience you had while using the plugin.

It appears to me you got hit by an algorithm update and I am sorry that Rank Math installation was just a mere coincidence.

Here’s a detailed reply to if you do not know much SEO (technical), have any misconceptions about the SEO, or just don’t understand what an SEO plugin can and can’t do:

Check the following pointers so you would understand the technical SEO better:
    1. An SEO plugin alone cannot bring down or bring up the traffic in a day unless incorrect Meta Tags are used by setting up the plugin improperly. That’s why we have a detailed tutorial on that:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-setup/

    2. All the SEO plugins add Meta tags for the search engines which can be checked by viewing the source of a page. For instance, here:
    view-source:https://rankmath.com/
    http://i.mythemeshop.com/8HurrX

Other popular plugins generate similar tags:
    http://i.mythemeshop.com/LP3ywP

But, with the Rank Math plugin, one gets additional tags added to a page so search engines can understand the content on a website better.

    3. The best way to move a money site to a new SEO plugin is by running an SEO Audit on the current installation with the older plugin and then running an audit again with the new SEO plugin. There are several tools which could be used for the same, Screaming Frog & Ahrefs are the ones we recommend.

For everyone else, here are few SEO professionals who have moved their websites to the Rank Math SEO plugin: (feel free to reach out to them and get their feedback)

[ Totally deleted, don’t do that here. ]

and here are their traffic graphs after moving to Rank Math:
    a. http://i.mythemeshop.com/pUu38Z
    b. http://i.mythemeshop.com/I1tVZF
    c. http://i.mythemeshop.com/XM134F

    FINAL STATEMENT
If your website is doing good on SERP, Rank Math is your best bet to improve the rankings further.
If your website is not doing good on search engines, Rank Math is best option to move into.
We are pretty open in communication and how we are dealing with the things. One can check here:

    and

Hope that clears any confusion you might have. Good day.

P.S. If we are ranking for Best SEO Plugin (which I doubt we do) on Google, then that’s the work of the SEO (plugin).

Listen man, I appreciate the rebuttal but I will be blunt the reply served here is basic knowledge and downright offensive to someone who has been doing this as a profession for 8 years.

It appears to me you got hit by an algorithm update and I am sorry that Rank Math installation was just a mere coincidence.

An SEO plugin alone cannot bring down or bring up the traffic in a day unless incorrect Meta Tags are used by setting up the plugin improperly. That’s why we have a detailed tutorial on that:

Let me just stop you right there, this clearly shows your lack of knowledge within this. Traffic can change in one day if a website is re crawled. Google Webmaster Tools allow for on demand re-crawling. I have my analytics account showing me the drop in traffic.

All the SEO plugins add Meta tags for the search engines which can be checked by viewing the source of a page. For instance, here:

Yes I am aware that is why we utilize the plugins. Open Graph and Schema Data are part of them.

In addition I switched back to my old SEO plugin. Requested through Google Webmaster tools that a re-crawl be done. And what do you know, my traffic is back to normal. This is not a coincidence. Your rebuttal is embarrassing and is trying to take advantage of those who will read this who have no knowledge of how SEO works.

    Hello @lupohq

We simply provided publicly accessible links and the stats for everyone to check and confirm.

@rankmath I’ve removed the links in your reply. Not all of them though I may change my mind about that. I will be reviewing your replies and archiving as need be.

The reason why is that this is a review. You replied but you don’t get to showcase your user’s sites here. That’s a little too much (if you read that as “spammy” then you’re probably correct).

Don’t do that. Reply and keep the conversation here. This is a free plugin contributed by a volunteer (that’s you). If you use these replies as what can be construed as an advert then that’s not appropriate. Please do not repeat that again.

    Hi Jan

As much as I agree not to leave any links to external websites, it was needed for this review (probably fake).

The OP’s profile was created the same day; he speaks just random things without any proof or anything and blamed the plugin.

We didn’t try to showcase the websites of our users; we don’t get any benefit from it (and neither do they get). We simply replied to the review by providing the proof that other SEOs are using the plugin, who are probably more prominent than the OP.

But your point is well noted, and we will try to avoid such links in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and the heads up.
