Works well – love the cookie scan – but pricey

I like the approach CookieYes takes for controlling cookies: it scans your website for cookies and lets you control them by category. It’s not limited to controlling only cookies that come from tracking snippets you set at the website yourself.

The cookie scan is a big timesaver over viewing the cookies in the browser or Inspector. The plugin also DESCRIBES the cookies it finds.

I ultimately decided not to use the plugin, because there was no link I could put in the website footer for the visitor to revisit the cookie sent page. There’s only a “Revisit Consent Button” that appears to the lower left on the website. I tried following the plugin’s instructions to add a class “cky-banner-element” to any HTML element, so the banner will appear again on this page, but (for some reason I can’t remember) this didn’t work for me.

Also the plugin seemed a bit pricey to use on the small business websites I create.
