  • Works until doesn’t conflict with other plugins, plus poor support.

This plugin had a conflict problem with contact form 7 and I submitted a request in support forum, but never heard anything back. Both these plugins are very popular and get used in many WordPress sites. So if a plugin has so much conflict with the other, it should be fixed!

I see many threads don’t get answered. This causes many frustration!

Could you tell us what issue you have/had in combination with Contact Form 7? We would like to be fully compatible with that plugin.

The problem this time is about file upload via Contact form 7. When the user is going to upload a file via attachment, it gives an error and doesn’t upload the file and therefore the form doesn’t get submitted either!

In some cases when I cleared the cache, it worked temporarily until the cache filled up again. I tried to add a piece of code to clear the cache hourly, but that didn’t work in my case either!!! However sometimes even with clearing cache it still doesn’t work.

What size is the file you are trying to upload? And is there any feedback from the AJAX call that might not become visible feedback on the form itself? You can check that in your Developer Tools in the Network tab, click on the request (should be something like contact-forms/{id}/feedback) and see what’s in the response.

The size of the file is very small. No problem there!
The error I get from the contact form itself is “There was an error uploading the file.”

I didn’t check the developer tool. I had to create a form with attachment just today to test it but I haven’t got the error. I have to play with this for a while to see if I still get an error and what it says as this issue goes back to 2 months ago and I simplified the form and removed the file attachment since then.

    So stay tuned please.
    Thanks!
