Works pretty well, better than most

I’d give it 3.5 if I could, but rounding up because it is free after all…

The good:
• It works (not to be taken for granted, some don’t)
• Good post selection controls
• I managed to make it match the look of my theme nicely with custom CSS

The bad:
• Controls to hide meta did not work on my site, had to hide with CSS display:none
• You can’t change the sort order of posts. They display in order of post date. This is a shortcoming in my particular case because I use the carousel to list upcoming events and I’d prefer to sort by event date. Ideally could do this by custom field data, but I can’t even drag and drop to sort.
• You can’t specify to display all posts in a custom post type by category. The carousel displays this message: “Carousel contents not found!” I am guessing that the plugin only looks in standard wp post types for the specified category.
• You can display user specified posts in a custom post type, but then you have to manually curate the list.

I did relate the issues I found with the author but they were not too interested. I can’t complain, but can’t give 5 stars either.
