Poor since ShareThis takeover

This used to be a fantastic plugin by the original author Kevin Sylvestry. I used it specifically for it’s minimalist approach – a simple way to add GA tracking code, no more, no less. Unfortunately since ShareThis has taken over, it has become a bloated ‘do everything’ analytics plugin. That may suit some people… but it’s not what I wanted and now I have the hassle of switching it out on hundreds of sites!

Secondly, I have just discovered that the GA tracking code was reset to 0’s on all sites running this plugin! Data not been collected for months. 🙁 Great. Now, I have to go through literally hundreds of my client’s sites uninstalling this plugin, installing a different one that does just the GA code, and reconfiguring them all with the correct code. Not to mention explaining to clients why they have blank analytics reports for several months. Frustrating… and very poor form ShareThis.
