Works on Custom Post Type but not regular post

Hi There,

First of all, thanks for the great plugin.

My question/problem is as follows:

I have a custom post type, called properties.
I also have a custom taxonomy that works like categories, called city.

On my website, you can click on a property, and in the sidebar related properties and regular posts are shown as long as they have the same city.

So you go to property 123 in city ABC, and in the sidebar, there is a regular post called “new development in city ABC”.

This all works perfectly. But then,

I also have the sidebar set up on the regular post type. So when you click on “new development in city ABC”, on the post page, you have the YARPP sidebar that SHOULD show anything related to city ABC but it doesn’t.

Any reason why this plugin works on custom post type pages (and will show regular post types as related) but not the other way around? (regular post type page doesnt show custom post types in sidebar).
